Amusing Zoos – The Child In Me
By Erika Ayala
Growing up as the eldest, my parents frequently take me out to various places every weekend. I don't think my parents missed a single weekend in taking me out. When we miss a weekend of going out, they will make sure that we go out at least twice the next week. As far as I can remember, my mom couldn't stand seeing me bored at home. She hates it when she sees me simply watch television. Well, that really helped me as I was growing up. My personality being an adventurous type of person was brought up by that factor. During those weekends of going out, we usually go to the malls, to parks, to museums, zoos and more. Out of all those places, what excites me the most is whenever my parents tell me that we're going to the zoo. I didn't know and couldn't explain myself when I was younger. In my mind, I just found the place amusing. Probably there was something about zoos that enticed me to visit them all the time. I remember, there was a time when my parents needed to bribe me with ice cream and fries just to get out of the zoo. It looked like I was really stubborn when zoos are the issue. Now, I fully understand myself why I have so much love for zoos. One fact could be because of my love for animals. Back in my grandparents' house, we had different kinds of animals – dogs, pigs, birds, fishes, cats and rabbits. My grandmother was fond of taking care of such pets. It's actually just one of her hobbies. Every time I visit my grandparents, my grandmother educates me all about these animals. Obviously, she was the one who influenced me that's why until now, I am still addicted to visiting zoos. Even at this age, I won't say how, I still have the passion to see animals. Or, I can say, I am still addicted to visiting zoos. If I have the time, I go to the nearest zoo or explore different zoos all over the world. Whenever I visit zoos, the first animal I check out are the tigers. Without a doubt, they are extremely dangerous and not that friendly compared to other animals. But when I see tigers, I feel alive and energetic. They're really my favorite. If I was given the chance to own one, I wouldn't hesitate to take care of a tiger. I would even give my pet tiger its own room and treat it as a baby. That's how much I adore tigers. Sounds crazy, but that's for real. If you happen to live near Cavite, in the Philippines, you would want to check out the zoos they have there. One of the zoos I checked out was Island Cove. This place is a leisure park and hotel at the same time. Pretty sure there are a lot of zoos near the area you could also check out. Just search for zoos in the internet for you to see the zoos you can visit in the Philippines. That's what I do if I need assistance. I simply consult the internet for faster results. Next month, I will definitely continue my search for more zoos. For my satisfaction, I wouldn't think twice to check out all the zoos I can visit around the Philippines or even |

Mam, I usually don't start an argument with an SEO article with filler content but if there is one thing that gets my BP soaring it's the zoos in the Philippines! My dream is to retire early and spend my retirement years doing something about the terrible conditions. It's not just zoos, just about every mountain and sea resort has monkeys in tiny, tiny cages, birds on short, short leashes, as if these creatures are objects! Very often the animals are exhibiting signs of neurosis, caused by the inhumane conditions, but everyone is too ignorant to recognize it or too callous to care about it. Make no mistake, I love this country and everything about it - except the way animals are treated here. If anyone needs proof that the Philippines is a backward, developing banana republic with medieval standards, the zoos are it. I refuse to take my kids to zoos in this country at least, it's too traumatic. Visiting a zoo in the PH is pure tortue for a true animal lover.
