Investments To Ponder

By Erika Ayala

Where do you invest your money? That is the big question. Earning money while you are working is a given fact. When you are working, surely you get your monthly salary. Or if you have a business, you still acquire your income monthly, depending on the kind of business you have. There is no questions in earning. But the big dilemma of every earner is how you save and spend your money. Why is it so easy to spend but difficult to save money? I don't believe that saving money involves putting it in the bank and not spending that at all. The real deal in saving is how and where you invest your money. Investment is a big word for the big question. One secret of being successful (including financially) is investing wisely.

I don't know where you invest your money. But based on my observations, people take investments for granted. It's not that they don't want to, but people are unaware of the advantages and disadvantages of this action. Majority are not knowledgeable of what could happen if they choose to place their money on certain things. As a concerned citizen, I would want to give some tips and short knowledge on where you can put your money into good use. It might appear as spending at first but in reality, it is multiplying your assets.

1.Invest on education. As young as we are, our parents tell us to study very well, persevere and work hard. We reap what we sow, which applies in the area of education. It is an investment to be able to study and learn, aside from experiences. Being in a prestigious university helps you get a better job compared to others who graduated from an ordinary school. There is a big edge when companies hire employees. They would rather choose the person who came from a known and prestigious school of course. Although the expenses will take you thousands of dollars. But then, it is an investment to study in a good school. Education is one of the greatest investments you can make.
2.Invest on properties. If you had to choose between a car and a land, what would you choose? Definitely a land, right? Getting your own property is obviously costly. However, if you look at the longer run, the price appreciates, which can make you earn more money in the future if you sell the property. Most rich men are wealthy because of the land they own. So if you are up for a big investment, you won't go wrong in investing on properties. Just make sure that you choose your land wisely. Take a quick course on what are right properties to get by asking property specialists.
3.Invest on your children or helping other people. If you think it is too late for you to be educated. Pass it on to others. The feeling of helping others is an investment that is priceless. Your children or the younger generation will be the next future leaders and hope for our world. Investing on their lives will give you this sense of fulfillment. There is no assurance that they will pay you or give back something. But one thing is for sure, you are part of their success. And pretty sure, they will be forever thankful to you for being part of whatever success they accomplish.

Remember that money will come and go. But relationship with other people is the best investment. Nothing can beat that. Hence, choose your investments wisely. Don't put your time, money and energy to waste.
